Construction
The hull construction is as interesting as it is rigid, and clearly an entirely different process.
A special box construction methodology is applied to the hull. The hull starts off as a box former
assembly to provide an extremely rigid base structure onto which specially selected and machined
African mahogany is planked. The box construction makes use of computer generated CNC
(computerised numerical control) routers for cutting the stringers, formers and engine members.
The planked hull is laminated inside and out with the Hexcel yarn and SP Epoxy systems.
This construction methodology results in a hull of immense stretch that not only eliminates
dreaded hull flex, but allows, the finely selected, deep red African mahogany to come to life
once sheathed and treated with high solids urethane lacquer - its finish is like a grand piano
and except massively impact and scratch resistant.
